When I worked at UC Santa Barbara the Campus Advocacy Resources and Education (CARE) program worked with Athletics in April to have teal games similar to the pink games often done
in October for breast cancer awareness. I found it helpful to frame the request by pointing out the pink games they were already doing because it started the conversation along the lines of “you already know how to do this sort of thing and do. Now how do
we expand that to include sexual violence prevention and awareness?” I hope that helps! Kegan

Hi all, Has anyone done any work with their athletic teams in regards to adding patches to jerseys related to their sexual violence prevention efforts? I feel like I recall a story from a Green Dot training about a school doing that.
I was thinking about getting patches with our sexual violence branding logo and asking athletes to nominate their teammates to receive them for being active bystanders. I think I have a good audience in my athletic department to pitch the
idea too, just wondering if I can learn some lessons from anyone who has attempted a similar project. Thanks, Rebecca Harrington Health Educator Ideation * Strategic * Maximizer * Learner * Input "If you only have a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.
