I would really like to know what training/education they have had on these issues. One of my many concerns with these types of apps (like the we-consent app that was addressed earlier) is that the companies or people who are providing them, don’t seem to have a lot to do with sexual assault prevention, bystander intervention, etc. I would like to think that these apps have a well-intentioned motivation behind them, but I am afraid some of them scream that they are just trying to make a buck off what is a hot button issue in the media right now. 

Thank you Jyl for following up with them. It’s important to engage them in dialogue about these concerns.

Turns out one of the founders of the Good Samaritan app is an alum of my institution. I’ve reached out to set up a time to talk with him and give him feedback. If you all have feedback you’d like me to provide feel free to e-mail me. I would love to help him see the wide-reaching concern we have for the app. If I do meet with him I’ll send out an update on what he says.
