Hello Everyone, Apologies for cross-posting! After having a great conversation with Sophia Blaha from the Albion Fellows Bacon Center in southern Indiana, we wanted to reach out to you all to see if you are aware of any resources or programs for sexual violence (or IPV or stalking)
prevention programs that are being used specifically for commuter campuses. Recently, a few of you sent me some resources for doing needs assessments for commuter campuses, which I greatly appreciate. However, I’m also looking for any research findings
(peer-reviewed articles or just short write-ups) for violence prevention efforts or programs that are used at commuter campuses, or that are targeted toward non-traditional students (ie, older students, married students, students with families, online students,
etc.). I’m not sure if we don’t yet have a best practices approach for commuter campuses, or if I’m simply not looking in the right places… so if you have any recommendations for articles or resources, please send them my way! I would be happy to compile a
resource list to send back to the list serv. Also, please feel free to forward this request to anyone who might be interested in this topic. Sincerely, Mahri Mahri Irvine, PhD IU Statewide Sexual Assault Education and Prevention Specialist Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis Walker Plaza 220 719 Indiana Avenue Indianapolis, IN 46202 317-274-2501 (office) 317-278-0948 (fax) |
