Hi Everyone! We are excited to announce the dates for RespectCon 2016: Understanding Sexual Violence Through A Social Justice Lens! ·
Friday, April 1st – Pre-Conference Summit ·
Saturday, April 2nd – RespectCon Conference ·
Both days will be held at Emory University in Atlanta, GA Unlike previous years, we’ve shifted the conference to fall on a Friday-Saturday. This is one of several changes this year to make RespectCon even more accessible for students and colleagues traveling to present/attend. More info will be
coming soon about submission guidelines and dates, but for right now please add us to your calendars! What better way to kick-off SAAM than at RespectCon?? What is RespectCon? RespectCon is a low-cost conference focusing particularly on understanding sexual violence through a social justice lens, open to both students and advocacy/prevention professionals. The conference is hosted
by Emory University in Atlanta, GA. The purpose is illuminating the connections between sexual violence and other forms of oppression, thereby connecting this work to broader structural inequities and integrating our work into social justice movements. Our
aim is to create a unique environment for participants to share information and exchange ideas on preventing sexual violence and creating more survivor-supportive and socially just institutions of higher education. Want more info?
