A key question not covered in the article is average age.  Lisak’s men were old than traditional college age, on average.  That makes a difference.  Also, did the study use the old UCR definition or the newer one?

This Chronicle article reports on a study that challenges Lisak’s findings but:

“It limited its focus to behaviors that met the FBI’s definition of rape and counted only completed acts, excluding attempts that failed to result in penetration.”
