Hi all:

 

Since 2011, UW-Madison has published a list of victim rights to enhance institutional transparency, student accessibility to policies, and in hopes of making the relevant information understandable to victims and their support people.  Our idea is to provide easy-to-read documents that do not require students to comb through Annual Security Reports and other disparate campus policies to find the information they need. 

 

We have recently updated our listing of rights and I wanted to share that with you all, as we have looked at many similar documents/web content from your institutions.   This document went through extensive review by students and campus/community stakeholders, including our compliance officers.

This document alone does not satisfy the requirements of Clery CSAs to provide written information to victims, FYI.  We are working on a version of that for July 1 of this year.
