Hi Juliette,

 

I use this clip (2:09) from “Pretty Little Liars” within a workshop about relationship violence and bystander intervention. The discussion focuses on tactics of control that are used within the relationship including isolation and manipulation. Participants also discuss what they might notice as a friend of either party and strategies to intervene and support. The clip is also used to illustrate the ways in which relationship violence is normalized within pop culture.

Hey folks -

I'm interested in any suggestions you have for a short video clip to introduce (icebreaker or quick discussion) teen dating violence to high school parents.  Even a cartoon.  Something to get us on the same page about the scope of the problem, and to then get them ready to discuss prevention...
