Dear Colleagues, The Respect Program in the Office of Health Promotion at Emory University is excited to announce that our third annual conference, RespectCon 2015, will
be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Dobbs University Center on the Emory University campus in Atlanta, Georgia.
RespectCon 2015: Ending Sexual Violence Through A Social Justice Lens is a low-cost
one-day conference focused on understanding the connections between sexual violence and other forms of oppression, thereby connecting this work to broader structural inequities and integrating our work into social justice movements. Our aim is to create a
unique environment for participants to share information and exchange ideas on preventing sexual violence and creating more survivor-supportive and socially just institutions of higher education. Last year’s conference welcomed 122 participants from 15 states
and 26 organizations. Additional info on RespectCon (including registration details) can be found on our website
here.
If you are interested in submitting a proposal for the conference, please visit: http://tinyurl.com/RespectCon15. The deadline is Friday, January 30, 2015. There will also be a
pre-conference meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2015 for directors and coordinators of sexual violence prevention and response programs that are on or affiliated with institutions of higher education. Feel free to contact me () directly or to email
with any questions or ideas! We look forward to seeing you in April!
