We play a stoplight game with students in some of our programs with the attached scenarios.  We ask two volunteers to stand in front of the group while the scenarios are read aloud pausing at the intersections indicated to see if the situation is a green light/yellow light/red light one. The volunteers show a stop light color to the group and a large group discussion is facilitated as to why there is or isn’t consent at that intersection.  We don’t make the volunteers feel right or wrong but use their choices to probe into the underlying  issues around consent: incapacitation, coercion, respect, etc.

I also like the “Consent is Sexy” campaign and often use this video by Campus Clarity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJOKRYbgDh8

Hope this helps!

Subject: Consent Workshops

Hello All,

Someone asked me the other day what my favorite program was for talking about consent and I realized that I didn’t have just one favorite activity or lesson plan. I thought it would be helpful to pose the question to this group and find out what some of your favorite activities or lesson plans are for talking about consent.

I am happy to compile and add to responses and send it back to the group.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Kayce
