Dear colleagues;
This issue came up on another list, so I'm just wondering - does your school maintain confidentiality if a victim of racist or religious or homophobic violence seeks help or "advocacy" from an on-campus center?
Are advocacy centers equally committed to maintaining secrecy if confidentiality is desired by the victim of racist or sexual orientation violence?
On a related note - we have been ranking schools on an easy-to-use chart to illustrate their compliance (or not) with equitable standards for the redress of violence against women compared to violence against other protected class categories such as race, national origin, etc.
Predictably, the elite schools are among the worst - though Stanford is near compliance on many issues.
We are adding new schools all the time and welcome feedback.
