I would be sure to ask questions about street harassment on and around campus -- in our work we see this has a huge influence on feelings of safety and mobility.

We are in the process of developing a climate survey to administer to students this semester to assess both general attitudes towards violence, gender roles, victim blaming, etc as well as individual experiences with violence and with support services on campus and in the community.

 

If anyone has recently administered a survey along these lines, and would be willing to share what questions you asked, that would help us pull this together that much more quickly. I’d also love to know if there is something that you wish you had asked but didn’t. You can contact me off-list at .
