Hi Everyone, I am emailing to ask for some information about your Title IX investigative processes and disciplinary procedures. We are wondering: 1) At DU, the Title IX investigators conduct the investigation and then submit their findings in an investigative report to the outcome council. The outcome council (made up of 3 administrators) then reviews the investigative report and makes a determination about discipline measures (“outcomes”). Does your university follow a similar process? 2) During our investigation process, the complainant is interviewed by 2 investigators, one of whom types up a summary statement while the interview is being conducted. The complainant is then given the opportunity to review his/her statement, make any changes on the document in ink, and then sign confirming that the statement accurately reflects his/her statement. How much time does your university give the complainant to review his/her statement? Does your university allow the complainant to redact personal information from the statement? If so, how is this allowed? 3) Does your university have an outcome matrix (e.g. this offense = this disciplinary action)? If so, would you mind sharing your outcome matrix? 4) After the investigation and findings, does your university allow for impact statements? If so, what is the purpose of these statements and how are they used? Thank you for any information you can share about your processes and procedures.
