Dear Colleagues:

I am seeking information on the experiences of campuses who have used external investigators for sexual misconduct cases.  I would like to know what you have experienced as benefits and what have been drawbacks or unexpected consequences of using external investigators.  Would love to talk by phone or perhaps exchange e-mail if you;re willing.  

The information I gather will be used as a part of an overall consideration of investigative models and I wold be sharing the information internally to U-M in aggregate and would not identify any campus by name.

Additionally, if there are other list members who have additional information or insight on campus experiences with external investigators, i would welcome the information off-list.
