The Campus SaVE Act, which promised to "codify" the Dear Colleague Letter (which clearly amends Title IX) and covers all forms of gender-based violence including "dating violence" "domestic violence" "sexual assault" and "stalking." So long as the conduct is "severe or pervasive" and "offensive," "unwelcome" and "based on sex," Title IX applies. Many OCR and federal court rulings define a one-time act of violence as a per se Title IX/civil rights violation.
The SaVE Act, as you know, requires and/or allows the application of unfair standards, however.

Subject: [WRAC-L] Dating violence and Title IX
Hey folks -
I'm trying to get clarity on whether or not Title IX covers instances of physical dating violence. I assumed it did not, but have found some websites and publications that say it does. Any help here would be very much appreciated! Thanks
