Happy New Year colleagues!

We are in search of any written policies that you all may have regarding crisis phones carried by professional staff members in your offices. We implemented a 24-hour crisis line for students to call to make advocacy appointments with our staff, as well as a means for police or other staff and faculty to reach an advocate immediately when a student is in crisis or needing accompaniment to a sexual assault medical exam, for example. We are hoping to formalize a departmental policy for our staff regarding response time, transportation of students, and anything else that you might have included in your policy, without having to recreate the wheel. If any of you have similar policies that you can share with us, please feel free to e-mail me off-list. I am happy to compile the responses and share them with anyone else who is interested. We appreciate your help!

Thank you,

Stephanie Jones, MA
