Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce a summit just for professionals who work at or closely with institutions of higher education. This summit is a gathering for professionals who work on or with colleges and universities on sexual assault and relationship violence prevention and response programs. As we are each a part of different professional associations, this meeting is an excellent opportunity to gather as professionals in our specific roles. We are proud to be collaborating with Holly Rider-Milkovich, Director of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center (SAPAC) at University of Michigan. We invite all participants to be a part of the planning process. The summit will take place on Thursday, March 27th from 10am to 4pm on the Emory University campus in the Dobbs University Center. That evening, there will be a RespectCon kick-off event as well as additional time for networking. RespectCon 2014 is on Friday, March 28th. The summit will feature opportunities for large group and small group dialogue about topics designated from attendee responses (below) and could include: · time for networking across campuses · creating a professional association/group solely for prevention specialists/advocates/directors · engaging students · sharing of prevention strategies · Orientation and Campus SAVE act programming ideas · navigating relationships with administration · advocacy and response systems post Title IX The cost of the summit is $20, which includes lunch and can be paid through the link below. Registration for both the summit and RespectCon is available for only $50 which includes lunch on both days.
