Dear Colleagues,
The Respect Program in the Office of Health Promotion at Emory University is excited to announce that our second annual conference, RespectCon 2014, will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Dobbs University Center on the Emory University campus in Atlanta, GA.
RepsectCon 2014 is a one-day conference that brings together a diverse group of students, activists, and professionals from across the country who are committed to ending sexual violence. Our aim is to create a unique environment for participants to share information and exchange ideas on preventing sexual violence and advancing healthier, more socially just institutions of higher education. Last year’s inaugural conference welcomed 63 participants from 13 states and 22 organizations.
This year’s theme “Sexual Violence Prevention through a Social Justice Lens,” will allow us to focus on understanding the connection between sexual assault and other forms of oppression, connecting sexual violence to broader structural inequalities, and integrating combating sexual violence into social justice movements.
If you are interested in submitting a proposal for the conference or learning more, please visit: http://tinyurl.com/respectcon14

There will also be a pre-conference meeting on Thursday, March 27, 2014 for directors/coordinators of sexual violence prevention and response programs that are on or affiliated with institutions of higher education.
Feel free to contact me directly at or to email with any questions or ideas.
Thank you for your consideration.
