Hello, all,

Can I get some information about the ways your schools, or best practices for, assigning sanctions for violations of sexual misconduct? Here, we have sexual misconduct divided into: assault, harassment, and exploitation. Sexual assault is further divided into non-consensual sexual intercourse and non-consensual sexual contact. It is these two categories I am most curious about.

So my questions for higher education professionals are:

1)      Does your school have mandated sanctions or sanctioning guidelines for sexual assault (specifically non-consensual sexual intercourse, but also contact if available)?

2)      If yes, what is/are the sanction(s) recommended? If no, how do sanctions get decided and what tends to be the outcome?

3)      When was your policy last revised?

For those working with Title IX but not working in higher ed, can you give me some insight into the best practices for this, what you have noticed to be challenges around this issue for schools, etc.?

Thank you.
