SAPC Colleagues,
I am considering designing an online course through my university for summer 2014 tentatively titled Gender Based Violence on Campus. The course would focus primarily on the causes, contexts, related behaviors, legal issues/legislation, and means of prevention for sexual assault on college campuses. Other related topics (sex trafficking, domestic violence, pornography, hegemonic masculinity, raunch culture) would be addressed as well. The course would be open to both masters and doctoral students, and those who aspire to graduate education who have a bachelors degree. Participants would earn 3 graduate credits.
Prior to putting the class together, I want to gauge some level of interest. If you think this course would be of interest to you for summer 2014, if you could send me an email off list, that would help me to gauge whether I should move forward to put the class together. Feel free to share this email with any interested others.
