About the Webinar:

What Happens when Sexual Assault Victims Are in School? Using Title IX to Advocate for Victims  ***  Monday, September 9th, 10–11:30AM Pacific (1–2:30PM Eastern)
This webinar will focus on the ways attorneys and advocates can utilize Title IX to help victims of sexual assault in education settings, both at middle and high schools and on college and university campuses. Since the vast majority of sexual assault victims are between the ages of 12 and 24, most are left without a clear path toward staying in school and pursuing their original goals. This 90-minute training will discuss what protections Title IX offers students, what recourse students have when they are not offered those protections, and what advocates can do to help victims get the accommodations they need to stay in school.

OVW grantees can also contact us through our website to request a user name and password to access the VRLC’s extensive library of resources for lawyers, advocates, and sexual assault survivors.
