Hi all,
I think we've figured out a good fix at Emory and our dialogue has been very helpful in the necessary balance of keeping track of incidents and trends and respecting the confidentiality of survivors who do not wish to initiate investigations/the chilling
effect that not being very clear about what we're doing and why can have on folks needing to seek support.
I appreciate discussions related to reporting and tracking of incidents, but as we know as advocates, that is only a small piece of the broader puzzle of a comprehensive approach of preventing and responding to sexual assault, intimate partner violence,
and stalking.
If anyone needs any guidance or support on navigating confidentiality or some resources, please let me know off-list. I continue to be grateful to be at an institution that values bringing together multidisciplinary teams and wants to truly work to end
sexual assault.
My best,
LB
