Hello All – Our campus is piloting a series of programs in September related to sexual violence prevention with the hope of drawing out folks from all across campus to be aware of how the issue affects the campus community and how we can all play a
role in preventing sexual violence. We’d like to get away from the term “sexual assault awareness week” – because this is a title that has become a bit tired on our campus. Are any of your campuses introducing a series of programs to address sexual violence during a designated
timeframe? If so, what do you call it? In the past we have titled this series of events “Take A Stand Week” and “Safe Campus, Strong Voices Week”. Please note that many of these programs will be offered at various other points throughout the year as well –so this is not a one shot deal -- but we’d like to use this week in September to highlight sexual violence at the beginning of
the semester. Thanks in advance for your feedback! Sarah Sarah B. Diaz, MSW Coordinator for Health Education and Outreach Programs Butler University 4600 Sunset Avenue Indianapolis, IN 46208 Office: 317.940.8311 24 Hr. Victim Support: 317.910.5572 Fax: 317.940.6403
