This foundational conference will feature an array of nationally renowned trainers on the issues of intimate partner stalking and technology, including experts from the fields of law enforcement and victim services. You will learn how offenders use various technologies to stalk, how to document technology misuse, how to investigate and build a stalking case, and how to work with victims to enhance their safety. This conference will provide an opportunity to network with your colleagues from across the country and discuss challenges facing practitioners in this field.

THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN INTIMATE PARTNER STALKING – ADVANCED TRAINING FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROFESSIONALS.
This hands-on skill building training is intended for criminal justice professionals only (including law enforcement, prosecutors, and community corrections officers). This training will provide essential information on the documentation, collection, and preservation of cell phone and computer evidence and will greatly enhance attendees’ ability to investigate cases where technology is misused as a tool in stalking.
Registration is separate and will open in the coming weeks upon finalization of the agenda. In order to register for this training, you will have to have attended the foundation conference held immediately prior to this training or another foundational training provided by the SRC or NNEDV.

Stalking is a crime that is often co-perpetrated with other crimes, such as domestic violence and sexual assault. Research supports a connection between stalking and sexual assault – both pre- and post-assault. In this webinar, we will explore the nature and dynamics of stalking, focusing on its intersection with sexual assault. We will also discuss ways in which this information impacts our responses to and services for victims.
