Megan,

We have a LendingLibrary ourselves. The books and DVDs are carefully vetted by our clinical staff. Three resources that I have found to be extremely valuable are "Getting the Love You Want: A Guide for Couples" (revised and updated) by Harville Hendrix (there are assignments in the last chapters that may be triggering for a survivor so therapist guidance is suggested if they do the homework portions), "Allies in Healing: When the Person You Love Was Sexually Abused as a Child" by Laura Davis and lastly "Victims No Longer: Men Recovering from Incest and Other Sexual Child Abuse" by Mike Lew.

Hope this helps,

Martha

Our office has a small lending library that we use for research and to check out materials to students. The library we had was almost entirely materials owned by our previous program coordinator, so when she left the library went with her.

I’m looking for recommendations for items to include in our first round of orders. We’ll continue to build it over time, but we need to get some stuff to get started. What media (books, journals, films, etc) have you found invaluable in your work, that you would recommend?

Thanks!
