I just noticed that the ATIXA option is $2500 per person. 

If you need to find a less expensive option, there are 14 regional single day Sexual Misconduct Risk Management Policy Institutes being scheduled for the coming year. 

 

The cost per person is $100 for those who come from more than 100 miles away from the host school or $379 for up to three people.  There is a mock disciplinary hearing to start the day.  Then, an examination of every permutation of sexual misconduct, sexual exploitation, sexting, cyber-stalking, and more will be reviewed--from policy and investigation to response and prevention!

They are being sponsored by both state and national non-profit educational organizations.  I know there’s one in DC and one in Baltimore scheduled.  If you’d like more info, please feel free to email me directly.

Does anyone know of any trainings happening in the DC/Baltimore area this summer that would be useful for sexual misconduct investigators? We are hoping to host a training in the fall that deals specifically with our policy and process, but in the meantime would like to be able to send investigators to trainings regarding investigative techniques, specific complexities of these types of cases, and ways to work with both complainant and accused without unnecessarily harming either participant. Even trainings that may help to provide a better and deeper understanding of sexual violence in general would be considered.
