The University of Kentucky Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) Center,
home of the Green Dot, is looking for a dynamic and energetic Prevention
Educator to join our team.

The VIP Center is the unit at the University of Kentucky charged with
addressing the prevention and intervention of interpersonal violence. This
mission includes the creation and implementation of education and prevention
strategies to shape a violence-free campus.

The Prevention Educator is a key role in facilitating education and other
prevention strategies related to power-based personal violence including 
sexual
assault, stalking, and partner violence. This individual develops, 
coordinates,
implements, and assesses dynamic programs, interactive trainings, and creative
activities to engage students, staff, and faculty in violence prevention
efforts. Educational efforts focus specifically on power-based personal
violence, primary prevention, bystander intervention, and advocacy. The
Prevention Educator creates and sustains partnerships with students who are
underserved, hard-to-reach, and peer opinion leaders in order to carry out
these efforts. In addition, the Prevention Educator is a core component of the
VIP Center staff and assists with advocacy, administrative support, and other
duties as needed.
