Dear colleagues,
I have recently been involved in conducting some independent research for our
National Union of Students, on 'lad culture' at universities and women
students' experiences of it. Many of the women we talked to identified
'laddish' behaviours as problematic and felt that they could easily spill
over into sexual harassment and violence. This will be old news to those of
you working on these issues at North American universities, I'm sure - since
you are so far ahead of us in terms of violence against women students. But I
thought some of you might be interested in the report, for comparison
