The Victim Rights Law Center and Clery Center for Security on Campus join together to bring you their expertise on Title IX and Clery Act compliance when responding to sexual violence.

 

Join us for a day-long training on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon, to learn from national experts who have advised thousands of campus personnel on how to avoid liability and maintain a balanced approach to adjudicating sexual assault and rape cases. This training seminar is open to campus administrators, faculty, first responders, and university counsel.  The registration fee is $360.  Multidisciplinary teams of 3 or more applications receive a $50 discount per applicant.

The Victim Rights Law Center is the first nonprofit law center in the country solely dedicated to victims of rape and sexual assault.  VRLC attorneys represent victims of rape and sexual assault throughout Massachusetts on a variety of civil legal issues, including in school and college disciplinary hearings and in filing Department of Education Office of Civil rights Title IX complaints.  VRLC attorneys also provide legal technical assistance nationally, and train college administrators, faculty, judicial boards, advocates and lawyers throughout the country.

The Clery Center for Security On Campus (formerly Security On Campus, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to safe campus communities nationwide. The Center provides Clery Act compliance trainings for college and university officials across the U.S. Beyond the law, they have been and will remain dedicated to the spirit of the Clery Act and its intent to provide transparent information and safer educational environments at all institutions of higher learning.
