Hello Women's Centers!

I'm writing because I'd like to include performances with Women's Centers and Universities in my CD Release tour.  I worked at the Women's Center when I was in college at UVa, have a degree in Women's Studies, Environmental Science, and a Master's in Urban Planning.  I've continued my involvement in women's/gender/lgbt related events, having performed for local women's music festivals and pride events.  I also have extensive background in urban planning and most recently was the public arts manager for the county where I resided.  I would also be happy to be involved on a panel or workshop with students about my experiences as an academic professional and professional musician.

I'm an indie singer and multi-instrumentalist based out of Austin and touring in support of the album I just released.  I'm on the west coast now and through the fall.  Some cities include LA, San Diego, Las Vegas, southern UT, Salt Lake City, Park City, Boise, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Sacramento...  A music event with you could include performing at an event, a house concert style performance, or other variety based on your programming.

More about my music - I perform solo, with a variety of styles, from blues acoustic to bluegrass, acoustic rock, and folk.  The first track on my album was nominated for Best Folk song with the New Mexico Music Awards 2012.  Some have likened my sound to Joan Baez charming Ani DiFranco over lunch with Johnny Cash, and I have received special recognition for my vocals and instrumental style. I've shared the stage with award-winning and internationally touring acts, such as Susan Gibson, and Capital B, and several nationally touring acts and local favorites.   I'm including below a link to my music and website.
