Binghamton University is looking for an Interpersonal Violence
Prevention (IVP) Coordinator
Salary: $52,000 - $58,000 depending upon qualifications and
experience; master’s degree in public health, mental health, social
work, law, women’s studies, higher education or related field is
required.
The Interpersonal Violence Prevention (IVP) Coordinator oversees a
“victim-centered” approach to campus response, advocacy, education and
prevention in the areas of sexual assault, stalking, and dating
violence. Reporting to the Director of Health & Counseling Services,
or his/her designee, this position collaborates with University and
community partners to develop, institute and evaluate evidence-based
prevention and education programs. In linking “victim-centered” and
evidence-based approaches, the Interpersonal Violence Prevention
Coordinator promotes compassionate, effective support services to
student victims, and fosters collaborations across multiple
constituencies. This position provides leadership in systemic efforts
to minimize risky behaviors, strengthen campus climate and prevent all
forms of interpersonal violence.

for those affected by sexual and interpersonal violence and serves as
an advocate for student victims. This professional develops and
maintains close working relationships with internal and external
resources providing mental health, medical, legal and other forms of
support to victims and survivors. oversees a “victim-centered”
