Re: resource recommendations for loved ones of survivors--

I am not aware of any books specifically for parents but would like to know if there are any available.

FYI...For partners/loved ones
Alan McEvoy's book is quite good. If She Is Raped: A Guidebook for Husbands, Fathers, and Male Friends
It's a bit dated (2001) but still relevant.

In the booklet/pamphlet department
We do have 12 page topic-focused pamphlets for this population including:
If your teenager was sexually assaulted:  A guide for parents
Helping a friend who was sexually assaulted (also helpful for parents)

We're happy to send you (or anyone who requests) a complimentary copy of either or both if you send me your address.

Please reply off list though to save everyone from the requests.  Thanks!

Subject: Book Recommendations for Parents of Survivors

Hi Everyone!

I'm looking for book recommendations for parents of survivors of violence, particularly sexual assault. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for your time!

Peace,
Connie
