Hi Linda:

Great to see this post. Not sure if you remember me from a few years ago - thank you for your assistance with some research I did for Columbia University. Attached is a 2-page description of a CDC DELTA Project funded program called, "Beat the Punch" in San Luis Obispo. I've cc:ed Sarah Ou and Beth Raub, the staff who implement this program in conjunction with their partners at the California Polytechnic University of San Luis Obispo. Their project meets your criteria. (It's a multi-component IPV primary prevention project that also includes response-related goals.) Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me (we sub-grant to them and provide technical support). And I'm certain they wouldn't mind if you got in touch with them as well.

All the best to you in the development of your brief. I look forward to seeing it!

Lisa

Hello list members,

Please pardon the cross-posting.

We’re writing a ‘brief’ on intimate partner violence (IPV) prevention that will be posted to the Higher Education Center Web site, and we’re looking for examples of college- or university-based prevention programs that are designed to promote healthy relationships or otherwise prevent IPV (as opposed to encouraging reporting or other types of response-related goals.) We’re looking for programs in which IPV is a significant focus of the program rather than a subtopic. We’re particularly interested in programs that include multiple components, e.g,. trainings/workshops plus a media campaign, but we’d love to hear about any of your efforts.

Please respond to Erin Smith at with your campus, contact name & info (if it’s not you), and a sentence or two about the program, and we’ll follow up for more information.

Thanks very much,

Linda Langford
