Dear Colleagues: I am having a bit of conflict with others on my campus, namely the Department of Public Safety, about the reporting forms that we use to collect information from CSAs and non-CSAs about crimes covered by the Clery Act. Some are arguing
the usefulness of a separate form for sexual offenses. This is the practice that is used in the Department of Education Handbook for Campus Safety and Security Reporting. Others at my institution are arguing that multiple forms are unnecessary. Does anyone have any information about best practices in reporting forms? Ultimately, we want to increase reporting to be in compliance with Clery/Title IX/etc. and increase the accuracy of our understanding of the problem of sexual misconduct
on our campus. Adale Adale Sholock, Ph.D. Director, Women's Center Director, Institute for Women 220 Lawrence Center West Chester University West Chester, PA 19038 t: 610-436-2122 e: www.wcupa.edu/womenscenter
