As someone who struggles with our judicial process on campus, I wanted to let people know of a resource from a former colleague of mine. The former Director of Judicial Affairs at MIT has started a consulting company for students going
through their judicial processes on campus, but also for women’s centers/victim advocate offices who might need a consultant who knows the college judicial system better than most. Here’s what he says: As you know most people do not move forward with their campus judicial process, but I'm hoping that by working with them I can increase those numbers substantially. I believe that if a survivor had someone
who could help them prepare their complaint, understand the process, know their rights within that process, and prepare for the hearing who can still guarantee their confidentiality that more would take advantage of their system and hold perpetrators accountable.
I also believe that by being able to publicize that there are advocacy services for survivors in the judicial process that it will be another positive sell and hopefully bring more people in for help. I am offering advocacy groups and offices unlimited support on a yearly basis for a set fee that I think should be within most people's budgets.
