Hello, Colleagues~
As a part of discussions undertaken in our Gender Violence Prevention and
Intervention Taskforce, we are hoping to collect more comprehensive student
data on the problem of gender violence on campus. We would potentially like
to add 10-12 questions to the ACHA and COLE surveys (which are administered
every other year on opposite years and are completed by both graduate and
undergraduate students). We could use some assistance in narrowing down the
"most pertinent" questions about gender violence for campus communities.
We could look at prevalence, incidence, reporting rates, environmental
factors, attitudes, bystander intervention, etc. -- and many more topics than
that, im sure!! So the question is: is there an accepted national standard or
recommended *short* list of most pertinent questions for college students
related to GV? That would give us somewhere to start...
Has anyone out there already added gender violence questions to COLE or ACHA?
If you have feedback on how useful that was and how you used the data, that
would be appreciated, too!
Thank you!
-Amy
