I hope this email finds you well! I am emailing because Futures Without Violence is in need of a speaker for a dinner we are hosting with Avon this October 3rd. This dinner will gather several university presidents in Washington D.C. to announce the development of our campus prize program. We are planning to honor several universities who have made significant efforts to combat domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking on their campuses. While these honors will not be given out until 2012, the dinner will be the first announcement of this program. We are hoping to find a young women, preferably 25 or under, who is a survivor of sexual assault, domestic or dating violence, or stalking during her college years, to speak at our dinner. We are looking for a survivor who found that her school gave a positive or proactive response to her situation. We would fly her down to D.C. and give her an honorarium for her work.
