POSITION DESCRIPTION:         Temporary, 10 months, 35 hours per week (salary + benefits)

Position Summary:  Reporting to the University of Dayton's (Ohio) Vice President of Student Development, the Coordinator of Sexual Violence Prevention Education will collaborate with staff, faculty, and students to develop and provide a comprehensive educational plan for students to prevent and address sexual violence.  Coordinator will both deliver educational programming and train others to do so. Education will be targeted to all students with specific programs for entering students, upperclass students, and natural male cohorts (fraternities, athletic teams, etc.).  Responsible for utilizing best practices in prevention education to promote healthy relationships and understanding of the complexities of gender roles.  Prevention education must be presented in the context of UD’s Catholic and Marianist identity and values.

Requirements:  Masters Degree in Public Health, Education, College Student Personnel, or related area (such as Women’s and/or Gender Studies, Communication, etc.).  Demonstrated experience: working with sexual violence prevention on college campuses; working effectively with diverse populations; collaborating with a wide variety of constituents; conducting educational programs and training workshops; implementing best practices related to sexual assault prevention education.  Proven written communication skills.  Available to work some nights/weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:   Demonstrated knowledge of public health models; excellent oral communication skills; ability to present education in the context of UD’s Catholic and Marianist identity and values.
