Hey all -
I have been hearing more and more lately about students "bullying" other
students by announcing or telling the public they are a rape survivor. I've
seen this done verbally but also via facebook, AIM, twitter, etc. We have
seen this being done by friends of the perpetrator, and really mocking it, as
well as by sorority women, and others.
As of right now, the students don't have any way of holding these people
accountable - doesn't fit the law or our current code of conduct. Have your
campuses dealt with this in any specific way? Have you seen policies that
include this as part of a code of conduct?
thanks!
