Dear SAPC members,
I work at the Counseling Center, and in that capacity we have struggle with
the issue of "screening" offenders.
Our counseling center is open to all members of the student body. At times
we find that we are seeing both a
victim and an assailant of a violent crime (although the assailant doesn't
present as such, if they did this would
be easier to manage). We are looking for tools to better screen our clients
to attempt to catch this population
and consider referral to a more appropriate provider. Do any of you have
screening tools or even protocols in
place to assist with this dilemma?
Your assistance is appreciated.
