Security On Campus is helping to develop an amendment to the federal Jeanne
Clery Act that would expand programming requirements for colleges and
universities to include intimate partner violence as a part our ongoing
Campus SAFE Blueprint initiative.

I apologize for the short notice, but it is possible that legislation could
be introduced as early as the end of the week so we are looking for input
today on some critical aspects about this issue.

First, we would appreciate any feedback on elements or minimum standards
that should be required of such programming as well as anything that should
be avoided.

Second, if anybody knows of a source for statistics about how many colleges
and universities currently offer dating violence/intimate partner violence
educational programming, especially focused on primary prevention or that
mandates incoming/first year students attend please let us know.

As soon as we know more about the final form of the legislation and when it
will be introduced in Congress I'll let the list know and continue to keep
everybody apprised throughout the process.

Thank you in advance for any help that you can offer today, and for all that
every single one of you does every day to help keep our nation's campuses
safe.
