Hello,
We are collaborating with the university to reach out to the international
students, staff, faculty and spouse on campus. We have participated in
workshops, health fairs, and plan to design a support group that discusses
about different topics.
However, we have a difficult time reaching out to these members. Not just
the fact that Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault is a taboo, due to
barriers such as language, culture, shame, isolation, fear, VISA status, and
more.
We would really love to hear from everyone who has been working with the
international population. What worked for you and what were your barriers?
How did you approach them? Or if you know any resources/tools?
Thanks!!!
