Dear All,
You are cordially invited to participate in American University's sixth
annual Public Anthropology Conference. I've attached the Call for
Participants (CfP).
I'm organizing a panel focusing on the anti-sexual violence movement during
times of crisis-and "crisis" can be defined quite broadly, referring to
political crisis (wars/military endeavours), economic crisis, or social
crisis in general, etc. As you will see from the CfP, this conference is
focused on bringing together community groups, activists, and academics-and
it is certainly not limited to anthropologists. Therefore, I hope that you
will consider joining my panel to discuss the various ways that social
scientists and activists can work together to bring about positive changes
within the anti-sexual violence movement.
If you're interested in participating, please let me know! And feel free to
send any questions my way.
Sincerely,
Mahri Irvine
