All,
Are any of you utilizing technological formats to deliver your prevention
education messages as opposed to brochures, fliers and/or posters? In
particular, are you using websites, FaceBook, Podcasting, closed-circuit TV
PowerPoint slides, and/or creating customized, campus-specific,
professionally developed videos to address topics such as alcohol misuse,
general safety, interpersonal violence education and sexual assault
prevention? If yes, have you assessed their usefulness and impact? Have
you measured learning outcomes, knowledge acquisition, retention of
information? Do your students prefer these formats over print media? What
have you found to be the pros and cons of using these technological formats
versus print? Many of us are trying to "go green" and may be facing budget
cuts in terms of printing and reproduction costs. What are our best
alternatives?
Thank you for your assistance.
