NEW SPEAKERS ADDED TO AGENDA
. Women Thrive Worldwide co-founder and president RITU SHARMA
has been tapped to open the conference. Ritu will deliver the
conversational, back-and-forth "Ally Dialogue" with BYON HURT, filmmaker of
Hip-Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhymes.
. CATHERINE PIERCE, Acting Director of the United States
Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), will deliver
the keynote on the second morning of the conference, Wed, April 15. Ms.
Pierce was designated as Acting Director of OVW by President Barack Obama on
January 20, 2009.
COMPLETE WORKSHOPS DESCRIPTIONS ADDED
On the second day of the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to
meet with key personnel from four agencies. Federal officials from the
Office of Women's Health, the Administration for Children and Families, the
Office on Violence Against Women, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention will update attendees on existing programs, new initiatives,
pertinent policy changes and stimulus package updates. See all 15 workshops

CEU HOURS OFFERED FOR SOCIAL WORKERS
We're pleased to announce that we will offer conference attendees sixteen
