Dear All,

As a PhD student in Anthropology, I am interested in finding other
anthropologists who are involved in the anti-sexual violence movement,
either in the field of academia or in applied/public anthropology. It often
seems that, at least academically, anthropologists are rather
under-represented in this movement: most journal articles and research
projects that I have uncovered are produced by people in the fields of
criminology, sociology, psychology, gender studies, etc. rather than
anthropology.

If you are an anthropologist (or can refer me to anthropologists who study
sexual violence) I would be interested in networking with you to establish
some connections in current work that's being done in the movement. I would
very much like to increase the presence of anthropologists in the study of
sexual violence because I believe that we have much to offer in terms of
expanding our understanding of sexual violence in the US (as well as around
the world), and I would appreciate any networking connections you could send
my way.

Thanks! J
