Dear all,
I do some reading in ehealth and am fascinating with the possibilities. One
function can be to educate consumers (what is evidenced based practice? what
are basic facts about x?). This can be particularly useful to folks who
have acess problems (poor, rural, etc). We have put together a draft of a
free website to help sexual assualt victims and their family members.
Eventually, we may put videos of representative intalks or Tx sessions. We
may also put more info about our therapists (and maybe forms, homework, etc)
to make it more clinically useful. Here it is:
http://www.sexualassaulthelp.info/
Two items: 1) We'd appreciate any constructive criticisms. In the spirit of
QI we'd like to make this better. Thus, if you have any suggestions, good
links, additional topics/materials to be covered, we'd appreciate it. 2) We
want to have this be an "open" site. That is if you want to grab content and
individualize it so it can be useful to your organization, please do so.
Crissa Draper, Lauren Tolle, Mandra Rasmussen-Hall and Aditi Vija did the
heavy lifting on this. Thanks to them.
Thanks,
Bill

Hello,
Only UNIVERSITY staff need to respond
We are reviewing our current uinversity protocol for ALL faculty/staff
regarding sexual assault reports. This would entail, how a faculty/staff
member (who is not a mental health/medical professional) would report a sexual
assault incident to university officials and/or law enforcement if a student
survivor disclosed to them. Because many sexual assault offenses are
considered felonies, what is your university's legal obligation to report
information about a felony to the police, especially if an alleged perpetrator
is a student at your university or the assault occured on campus.
If you have a current protocol on file, could you please send me a copy as
soon as possible.
Thank you,
Amanda Childress
