Hello everyone,

 

The Women's Center for Education and Service at Texas A&M
University-Corpus Christi is currently searching for a new Director.  

 

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree with minimum 3 years of
professional experience in developing or managing campus or
community-based women's programs and/or agencies. Expertise on gender
and diversity issues and familiarity with cutting edge issues for
students with regard to women, men and gender related issues. An
understanding of the cultural roots of gender issues and how these
issues intersect with race, culture, ethnicity, class, and sexual
orientation. Demonstrated experience in supervision of staff, event
planning and management experience. Demonstrated experience in
developing and managing multiple budgets; and developing and assessing
learning outcomes associated with participation in programs and
activities. Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills;
has the ability to work effectively with people from diverse
backgrounds; and the ability to understand the developmental challenges
facing college age populations. Must possess strong organizational and
analytical skills; have high level planning skills; and a demonstrated
success in accomplishing strategic goals. Ideal candidate is proficient
with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant computer skills.
The Center's programming schedule will require occasional evening and
weekend work.

 

JOB DUTIES: The Women's Center Director serves as a campus resource and
educates the University community regarding critical women's issues. The
Director is responsible for establishing the Center's vision,
developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and
outreach activities. The Center seeks to generate awareness of and
commitment to the needs of women, non-traditional, and re-entry students
with diverse abilities and interests. The Director cultivates close
working relationships with students, faculty, and staff in order to
build community and promote the services of the Center.

Classification: Exempt - this position is full-time, may exceed a
40-hour work week, and is exempt from Fair Labor Standards and Practices
