on the counter-charging, i recommend adopting a policy in writing that says
"if anyone brings counter-charges for strategic gain, it will be treated as
an act of retaliation" --
you might inhibit a few -- or at least make people think before filing --

Greetings! I sent an email out earlier and I don't think it posted, so
if this posts twice, I apologize for that!! With that being said, I'm
looking to see if anyone has any experience with the Red Tent? My boss
really likes this (did it at his previous place) but doesn't offer too
much information on it. So, my questions are...does anyone have event
ideas they would share, information about logistics, etc. Any
information at all!! Or even a website that offers competent
information. I've looked up some information and there is some
conflicting stuff out there! I would greatly appreciate any guidance
anyone could give me!
Thanks!
In peace,

Good morning...
I'm wondering if anyone out there has some information on their school's
current strategy around counter-charging in sexual assault and physical
violence cases? For exampke, when a student decides to pursue charges, the
respondent is notified. Once this notification happens, in most codes
respondent would also be able to bring charges alleging the same assault
(sexual or physical assault). These charges can then potentially be used as
"leverage", as in "I'll drop the charges if you do"-- in an attempt to bully
the survivor.
If you all have some strategies around these issues, best practices, etc.,
I'd love to hear more...
Thank you!!
Best,
Jen
