I use the video every time I step foot on campus to do any type of
presentation, it is only 6 minutes long, but the impact is huge.
I use it to show that rape is not always violent, and I explain that for
probably most rapes that happen on campus or are campus related the offender
is probably not getting ready to go out that with "Rape" on his mind, but he
is planning on having sex - with someone - and is willing to get her drunk to
do so, which the manor in which they are "planning" to have sex such as
described in the video IS in fact RAPE, so this is a perfect tool for girls
as well as guys to educate them better on what the definition is. Also I talk
about the bystander issue, how when you are at a party and see this going on,
you are now completely aware of the wrong doing and can not only help the
girl out by stopping it but also helping to make sure the guy doesnt get into
a lifelong legal issue.
