Hi everyone

I am on the Advisory Board of the National Sexual Violence Resource Center
(NSVRC) and am working on the Emerging Issues Committee. Below is a list of
what we are working on.  

I am asking for your help. If you can think of any emerging issues you are
currently dealing with please share with me. I am also interested in model
policies maybe you are aware of and would like to share. This information
will be taken back to the Emerging Issues Committee and reviewed. Our hope
is to better provide information and resources to professionals working in
the prevention of sexual violence.


Emerging  Issues        

q       Identify policy issues of national interest.
q       Collaborate with key partners to respond to selected policy issues
when appropriate. 
q       Recommend articles and other resources for NSVRC library and/or
newsletter.
q       Assist with facilitating national discussions on emerging issues.
q       Work with staff to respond to requests for information or resources
outside of NSVRC staff's area of expertise.
q       Assist in locating and soliciting copies of current national
resources for the NSVRC library.
q       Recommend speakers for various topics.
q       Assist with planning national conferences. 
q       Assist in identifying model statutes and policies.   
q       Periodically review NSVRC website and recommend additions or
improvements.
